As the middle daughter of legendary basketball coach Jim Valvano, Jamie has witnessed amazing victory and heartbreaking tragedy. Jamie worked for the V Foundation for Cancer Research in its formative years, and she helped to establish the organization that has awarded hundreds of millions of dollars to fund cancer research. Although much of her father’s story has been made public, Jamie candidly shares how her father’s legacy impacted her own survival. Whether Jamie is working with corporate clients, fundraising for charity, or addressing an audience at a TEDx event, she has the ability to encourage individuals to persevere and move toward their extraordinary life. She currently resides in Apex, NC, with her two sons.
